Each year, the MRCC sponsors interns in the field of media research.
Interns would be placed at member offices for the summer. The MRCC pays a
nominal amount of money to the intern, half paid at the beginning and half
at the conclusion of the internship.

Paid Summer Internships

The MRCC is funding two (2) summer internships. One will be at Millward Brown and one at General Motors Planworks. These internships will last a minimum of 6 weeks and the recipients will receive a $1,000 honorarium from the MRCC. Qualified candidates must be enrolled in a four-year college or university towards an undergraduate or master's degree in advertising, research, marketing or other related major. Course credit should be arranged prior to accepting the internship.

Millward Brown Internship – Naperville, IL
Millward Brown www.millwardbrown.com is one of the industry's leading global research firms with three decades of experience understanding consumers and advising some of the world's most successful brands on marketing communications, brand equity and media.

Millward Brown seeks a candidate who will tackle projects such as researching media topics for a company POV, putting educational materials together for a company media training, helping to keep the company media bulletin board fresh with the latest in media trends, and assisting with writing a TV upfront presentation.

GM Planworks Internship – Chicago, IL
General Motors Planworks www.smvgroup.com is a unit of Starcom Mediavest Group dedicated to strategic media planning and buying for the General Motors Corporation. A key driving element of the Planworks operation is the Strategic Research Group, whose mission is to leverage and generate consumer insights that fuel the most efficient and effective brand contact media strategies for GM.

GM Planworks seeks a student with junior or senior level eligibility and a passion for understanding consumer media behaviors and motivations. Applicants must be proficient with Windows Operating System and basic Microsoft Office software programs and it is preferred that they have an intermediate knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint. Previous experience with SPSS or other statistical software a plus. Needs excellent communications skills (oral and written).
